7.11	Configuring portable device whitelist

GFI EndPointSecurity allows you to specify which device(s) can be made accessible to everyone. The whitelist is granular, so you can even whitelist a specific device with a specific serial number. You can specify whitelists on a protection policy by policy basis.

To add devices to the whitelist:

1. Click on the Configuration tab.

2. Click Protection Policies.

3. From the left pane, select the protection policy to configure.

4. From the right pane, click Devices Whitelist in the Security section.

5. Click Add to select devices to add to the whitelist.

6. Select the device(s), from the devices database, to add to the whitelist.

NOTE: If a specific device is not listed, you can add the device by clicking on the Add button and entering device details.

Click Next to continue.

7. To whitelist all serial numbers of a specific device, select the All serials option.

To specify only particular device serial number(s) to be added to the whitelist, select the Only selected serials option. Then highlight the device and click Edit to select the serial number(s) to whitelist.

Click OK and Finish to finalize your settings.

8. Deploy the protection policy updates on to the computers included in the policy. From the left pane, right-click on the protection policy you configured and select Deployment ► Deploy agent(s).

NOTE: You can also use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + D to perform this step.
