Configuring MSN routing

Before you can add MSN routes, you have to enter the MSN numbers in the ISDN card Device tab. To do this:

1. Right-click on the Devices\Lines Configuration node, select properties. A dialog with the available lines will appear.

2. Select the lines associated with the ISDN card and double-click to bring up the Device properties dialog. In the Device tab, enter the MSN numbers that you want to be answered.

You have to enter all the MSN numbers, otherwise the ISDN card will not pick up any incoming phone calls. If you use the ISDN line only for the fax server, you can enter all the MSN numbers available on the ISDN line, so as to create the maximum possible MSN routes.

Adding MSN routes

1. Right click on the Routing > MSN node, and select 'New MSN route'

2. Now select from the list of available MSN numbers and click OK. The MSN number will appear in the right pane of the GFI FAXmaker configuration.

3. Now double-click on the MSN number in the right pane. This will bring up the MSN route properties. In the users tab, select to which user(s) the fax must be routed if the fax is received on this MSN number.

4. Optionally configure a printer on which the fax must be auto printed if received on this route. To do this, select the appropriate printer in the printers tab. (Note that you must have configured the printer first in the printers node)
