Message transfer agent The message transfer agent transports the faxes to and from the users to the FAX server. The message transfer agent can be configured from the Message transfer agent node. 2 options can be setup: Base directory for mailboxes: This option is only applicable if you are using the Networks option. You can change the base directory for mailboxes from here and move mailboxes to a different machine or share.
