Step 4: Configuring the Email2Fax gateway in FAXmaker
After configuring Lotus Notes, all you need to do is set-up the Email2Fax gateway in FAXmaker. To do this:
- In the FAXmaker configuration, go to Email2Fax gateway node.
- Now tick the option 'Enable SMTP Message Transfer Agent'
- In SMTP settings > SMTP server: Specify the name of the Lotus Notes server.
- Specify the Fax server 'Sender' e-mail address: Enter the POP3 mailbox that is used for the fax server.
- Enter the mailbox name of the fax mailbox you created on your Lotus Notes server (fax)
- In POP3 settings > POP3 server: Specify the server name of the Lotus Notes server.
- Specify the Mailbox name and password, which you created for FAXmaker in Lotus Notes. As login method specify PASS.
- When you are ready, click OK. Now restart the FAXmaker MTA service.
Your Lotus Notes Fax server is now configured! You can now send faxes directly from the Lotus Notes client by entering @FAX behind the number.
