Introduction to the FAXmaker client software

After installing the Fax server, you need to install the FAXmaker client software on the user's workstations. To do this, go to the users workstation and run the FAXmaker client set-up.

The FAXmaker client software consists of a fax printer driver, fax viewer and the FAXmaker Fax message form. The FAXmaker fax message form automatically appears after printing to the FAXmaker printer driver. You can also start it from the FAXmaker for Networks/SMTP program group in the task bar. There are two ways to send a fax with FAXmaker using the FAXmaker client:

1. Create or open a document in any Windows application and print it to FAXmaker. This automatically activates the FAXmaker Fax message form from which you can send the fax.

OR:

2. Enter a message in the FAXmaker Fax message form directly.

Note: You can also send faxes using the NetPrintqueue2FAX feature, which uses the Windows Network Printer Queues and does not require client software.
