Configuring default scheduling settings: Email options

GFI LANguard N.S.S. ReportPack allows you to send the reports generated through a scheduled operation via email.

By default, these reports are emailed using the general report emailing parameters (i.e. email address, etc.) configured during the installation. However, you can also specify a different set of report emailing parameters for each scheduled report that you create. This is achieved through the `Advanced Options' dialog included by default in the `Scheduled Reports Wizard'.

Use the Options button under `Email Alerts Options' to configure email settings for your scheduled report.

Use this dialog to override the default email options and specify the following parameters:

  • `To' / `CC' - The email address(es) where the generated report will be sent.
  • `From' - The email account which will be used to send the report.
  • `Server' - The outgoing SMTP server.
  • `User name' / `Password' - The SMTP server logon credentials (if any).
  • `Report format' - The file format in which to send out the report.

NOTE: These parameters will only apply for the scheduled report that you are currently creating and will not affect or change the general report emailing parameters currently configured in GFI LANguard N.S.S. ReportPack. For more information on how to change the general report emailing parameters refer to the `Configuring email options' section in the `Configuration' chapter.
