Introduction to the configuration

After you have installed GFI LANguard S.E.L.M. and completed the configuration wizard, you can now run the LANguard configuration program and further configure GFI LANguard S.E.L.M.

The GFI LANguard S.E.L.M. configuration program

You can open the GFI LANguard S.E.L.M. configuration from

  1. The windows NT/2000 Start menu, Start Programs GFI LANguard S.E.L.M. Configuration.
  2. By right clicking on the GFI LANguard S.E.L.M. monitor in the task bar and selecting "GFI LANguard S.E.L.M. configuration"

The configuration program has 6 nodes :

  • Computers to monitor
  • Event Categorization Rules
  • Alerting Options
  • Event analysis options
  • Database maintenance options
  • Registration
