The LANguard S.E.L.M. monitor – Operational status
The operational status tab shows the activity being performed at that instant by LANguard S.E.L.M.. There are three sections in this dialog: A general progress section which indicates the number of computers which were scanned and what is being scanned, a Security Event Log section which indicates at real time the latest processing results of the scan being performed on the security log of the computer being monitored, and an Other Event Logs section which displays progress information when LANguard S.E.L.M. is collecting and processing events from any of the of the other event logs supported by LANguard S.E.L.M.
General progress
Number of scans performed: This shows the number of computers that have been scanned since the LANguard S.E.L.M. collector service was started.
Current computer being scanned: Shows the computer from which the event logs are currently being retrieved and analyzed.
Number of high/medium/low security computer scans: These 3 indicators show the number of high/medium/low machines which were scanned since the collector was started.
Security event log processing status
These indicator bars show in real time the processing results of the security event log of the computer being scanned currently. There are 6 bars – the first one shows the number of security events being collected, and the following 5 bars show how many of those collected events are classified as critical, high, medium, low or unclassified.
Other event logs processing status
This section of the operational status tab shows the events being collected from the other event logs.
