Running the monitor remotely

The LANguard S.E.L.M. monitor can be run from any machine, it does not need to be run on the machine running the LANguard S.E.L.M. collector. Furthermore you can monitor multiple LANguard S.E.L.M. installations.

To install & monitor a remote LANguard S.E.L.M. installation:

  1. On the machine on which you want to install the status monitor, run the LANguard S.E.L.M. installation with the /ShowOptions parameter.
  2. Select "Status monitor"
  3. Follow the instructions indicated in the setup.

To change the LANguard S.E.L.M. you are monitoring:

  1. Bring up the main window of the Status Monitor.
  2. Tools > Options…
  3. In the "select computer" tab enter the name of the computer on which LANguard S.E.L.M. is installed and you want to monitor.
  4. Select Apply / Ok to confirm the changes.
