Search and Filter functions The GFI LANguard S.E.L.M. event viewer has much more advanced searching and filtering options than the standard event viewer. To access the search function: 1. On one of the nodes, right click the mouse and select 'properties'. The filter tab 2. Now in the filter tab, you can specify conditions, such as date, time, type, user, computer and more. Simply double-click on a field to set a condition Setting a condition 3. The condition window will now appear. You can then select =, >, < or like and select the value. Click OK when you are ready. 4. You can combine multiple conditions, i.e. find all events relating to a user and on a certain date for example. When you have added all the conditions, click OK to apply the filter. The node will then only display the events that pass through the filter. 5. A node, which is being filtered, will be colored yellow rather then white.
