During a remediation or a deployment, one of the patches fails to install and gives a Fatal error during installation (1603) error as shown below:
- All supported builds
- All supported environments
Deploy the patch(es) using a domain account as shown below:
NOTE: Make sure the account listed has the "Log on as a service" right on all machines you are remediating.
This is normally caused when the Local System account (which is used when Deploy patches under the following administrative account is not selected) has trouble accessing one of the directories it needs to install the patch.
