Versions / Builds Affected2011 build 20110509
Problem SummaryAlthough patches are approved and they appear to save OK, when you move away from this configuration section and come back, some of the previously approved patches show as 'not approved'.
TT / JIRAIDLANGUARD-41
How to IdentifyCustomers will state that they approved the patches, but they still show not approved in the interface (this is after the user interface has been closed or the customer simply moved to another area and then came back to the auto-deployment settings).
It would appear this issue is a cosmetic one with the interface. When we look at toolcfg_autoremediation the patches that show 'not approved' are listed in this file. This would indicate that they are approved for deployment.
This sort of issue can obviously cause some concern for our customers as they feel the configuration they have made can't be trusted.
Workaround / Fix DetailsThis issue is only a cosmetic issue with the GFI LANguard user interface (confirmed by developers). The configuration file (toolcfg_autoremediation) is being written to correctly. All patches that are approved via the user interface will be deployed as configured.
This issue is resolved in GFI LANguard SR1.
