Setting a Database Rotation and Retention Policy

Overview

This article provides a step-by-step process on how to set a database rotation and retention policy.

 

Process

  1. In the GFI EventsManager Console, select Configure > File Storage > Configure File Storage.
  2. Choose the Rotation tab.
  3. Select Enable database rotation, then configure the Rotation Options as desired.

  4. To set a Retention Policy, follow the above instructions and check 'Delete database as needed' after choosing how many databases will be created. Refer to this article for more information: What does the 'Delete databases as needed' option do?
