This article describes the issue and its resolution which occurs while using the Import Export Tool (for example, when trying to import items from a PST file) and choosing the owner of the items. The tool crashes with the exception:
'Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password'.
Clicking Details reveals a more detailed exception text:
System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryServicesCOMException (0x8007052E): Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.
The debug log ..\MarcImportExport\DebugLogs\ExchPstExport.log ends with:

The Import Export Tool cannot authenticate successfully against the Global Catalog server when a local account is being used.
Log in to the GFI Archiver server with a domain account.
Note: If authentication error appears while using Web Interface then visit Error: 'The caller was not authenticated by the service' when loading the GFI MailArchiver web interface.
