How to IdentifySymptoms:
- Customer reports that the File Archive Assistant fails with the error: Synchronization failed (An error occurred while communicating with the GFI MailArchiver server.). Check the configuration.
- The user is archiving folders which contain a very high amount of files
How to identify:
Check for the following debug logging on the FAA side and the server side. Important here is to look that:
1. the client / server logs match to each other and
2. that the value of [newMessages] in the given line of the debug log file Store\Debuglogs\EmailMessageRetrieval.log shows a very high number (17202 in the example below; note the it is not clear how large this number must be to trigger this issue, but probably anything over 1000)
