Answer

PROBLEM

Some of the MailInsights reports are grayed out and cannot be selected from the MailInsights tab in the web interface.

ENVIRONMENT

  • GFI Archiver
  • All supported environments

SOLUTION

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Roles and Permissions
  2. Ensure that the user who is logged into the web interface is granted all of the following permissions:
    • ​View all items
    • Generate MailInsights reports (All)
    • Generate MailInsights reports (for mailboxes defined in Access Control)
The following default roles contain the required permissions out-of-the-box:
  • Full Access and Administrator
  • Full Access
  • Auditor
​Note that the Administrator role does not contain the required permissions out-of-the-box.

CAUSE

The user who is logged into the GFI Archiver web interface have not been granted the required permissions.
