Answer
To turn off notifications when an email is blocked due to an Email Security filter please do the following:
- Open GFI MailEssentials Configuration > Email Security
- Select the filter sending the notification (Note: For example, select Virus Scanning Engine first if it is one of those sending the notification)
- Select Actions and uncheck the Notification box
To turn off notifications when an email is blocked due to a Content Filtering policy, please perform the following:
- Open the GFI MailEssentials Configuration > Content Filtering
- Under each Filter (Keyword, Attachment, Decompression, Advanced), go to the desired rules > Actions tab
- Per your requirements, uncheck Notify local user and/or Notify administrator
- Apply the changes

- Open GFI MailEssentials Configuration > Quarantine
- Select Quarantine Options > Malware Options and uncheck the Send quarantine approval forms by email
