Overview
This article answers the query: How secure is Take Control?
Information
- Take Control generates a random password that is encrypted and stored in the local registry.
- The encrypted version is then uploaded to the GFI DashBoard - so that even GFI Support does not know the actual password as it is used in the Team Viewer sessions.
- All communication between the Agent and the DashBoard is over HTTPS by default.
- These passwords are generated per-session, so old '.tvc' files should not allow repeated access to the system.
