Overview
The restore to mailbox feature in Mailbox Restore Tool and the Import Export Tool (IET) fails when run against Exchange 2013.

Root Cause
- This is a limitation, as MARC only support 32bit MAPI versions, but Exchange 2013 runs a 64bit version of MAPI (Messaging Application Programming Interface) only.
- The same limitation applies to the IET Restore to Mailbox feature as it also relies on MAPI.
Resolution
This issue was resolved by adding 64-bit MAPI support in MARC 2013 R2. Upgrade to MARC 2013 R2 and install Outlook 64bit on the MARC server.
As a workaround, export PST Files, mount them into Outlook and copy emails manually.
