This article answers the query: Why can't I see all user emails in GFI Archiver?

Information

When GFI Archiver is installed for the first time, the Administrators (by default) do not see all users' emails but have permission to configure GFI Archiver. 

To view emails for all users, Full Access rights should be configured for a user or group.

Process for Security Group

Follow these steps to allow a certain Microsoft Active Directory Security Group (e.g., Domain Administrators) rights to view all user emails:

1. Navigate to Configuration > Roles and Permissions.
2. Under Manage Role Assignments, click the Assign button.
3. In the User / Group field type in the group name.
4. Choose the desired group (e.g., Domain Admins) from the drop-down that is populated.
5. In Has Role: drop-down list choose Full Access and Administrator.
6. Click Save.

Completing the above process will allow the Domain Admins group to view all user mailboxes within the Archive tab, as well as enable access to the Configuration tab.

Process for Specific Users

Follow these steps to allow specific users to see all user emails, but not grant access to the software configuration:

1. Navigate to Configuration > Roles and Permissions.
2. Under Manage Role Assignments, click the Assign button.
3. In the User / Group field type the name of the desired user.
4. Choose a user name that populates within the drop-down list.
5. In Has Role: drop-down list choose Full Access.
6. Click Save.

Completing the above process will allow the specified user access all user mailboxes within the Archive Tab, but disallow access to the Configuration tab.

If the individual is a member of a previously configured group (configured by the process for security group), the user-level configuration will override that of the group-level configuration.

Once Full-Access permissions have been configured, user mailboxes can then be added to the left side of the archive tab by searching for the user name in the search field just above the list.
