SummaryAssistance with determining the correct RAM to install in a 4061.
The Exinda 4061 went through some hardware revisions (resulting in the 4061v1 in 2010, 4061v2 in 2011 and the 4061v3 in 2012). They are based on Dell servers (the 4061v1 runs on an R210 system while the v2 and v3 units run on R210 II systems) and as a result, they have the capability of upgrading components, including RAM. Depending on the hardware revision, the 4061 might come with different amounts of RAM by default - the v1 comes with 2GB of RAM and the v2 and v3 come with 4GB, in a 2x2GB configuration.
When considering upgrading the RAM, there might be some things to take into account, namely the size, speed and slots available in the devices. It is recommended to get in touch with the Exinda sales team (including the local account reps), as they can easily determine the RAM needed for any device that might have been purchased. However, if RAM has been purchased on its own, there are some requirements for the 4061 specifically.
- Clockspeed of 1066 or 1333MHz
- ECC Capable
