Jul 20 11:31:35 ecache: [ecache.ERR]: Failed to initialize squid directories
CauseThe current working instance of squid.conf is corrupted causing squid to not start up. We need to replace the current working instance of squid with the one that comes with the factory default settings.
ResolutionFor doing this operation TAC needs to install a shell license key and do the file transfer.
Please contact Exinda TAC if such an issue is seen.
Steps for TAC
Shell license will be needed.
The 'default' (the config that is shipped with the image) can be located here:
We will be doing the following:
1) Stop retrieverd (cli command: pm process retrieverd terminate)
2) cp /opt/tms/lib/md/templates/squid.conf /var/opt/tms/squid/configs/squid.conf
3) Optional: we can disable the Exinda from trying to rewrite this file via a copy from the internet. Disable this via mdreq with the following commands:
mdreq set modify - /exinda/retrieverd/file/squid_config/enabled bool false
mdreq set modify - /exinda/retrieverd/file/squid_rewrite_config/enabled bool false
mdreq set modify - /exinda/retrieverd/file/ecache_ssl_blacklist/enabled bool false
4) Save the running config
5) Start retrieverd
6) restart Edge Cache
