SummaryEach Virtual Exinda has various hardware requirements in order for it to operate. These hardware requirements are listed in this article.
OverviewVirtual machines require dedicated resources in order to run the underlying virtual operating system. A Virtual Exinda is no different in this case. The minimum dedicated hypervisor hardware requirements are listed in the table below:
|CPU (# x GHz)||2 x 2.0||4 x 2.0||4 x 2.4||5 x 2.4||8 x 2.4||12 x 2.4 (if license <= 300M)
24 x 2.4 (if license > 300M)
|Disk Space (GB)||250||250||250||500||500||500|
|Edge Cache IOPS||30||50||50||70||80||80|
Please note the following information as well:
- The CPU hardware is needed to be Intel Xeon class, 64-bit with VT Enabled
- On the EXNV-10062, the number of CPUs allowed is dependent on the license, as shown above
- The minimum hard drive space needs to be on one disk.
- Disk extending techniques are not supported at this time; to add additional hard drive space it is best to add another virtual hard disk
- IOPS - I/O Per Second.
