SummaryTo change the user attributes for RADIUS authentication in order to give admin or monitor privileges, it has to be done through a key-attribute pair
OverviewRADIUS can be used in order to authenticate users that log on to the Exinda, and give them a level of permission equivalent to 'admin' or 'monitor' users. Either type of account can be chosen; admin users have complete access over the system while monitor users can only view certain settings and the reporting of the Exinda. While local users (user accounts on the Exinda itself) can be configured immediately, RADIUS (and relatedly, TACACS+) need configuration before users can log in to it.This can be done under Configuration > System > Authentication, and then the appropriate tabs for RADIUS and TACACS. This will set up things like the server and communication settings.
In TACACS+, the attribute is "local-user-name" for TACACS using the Custom Service "tms-exec".
In RADIUS, the users need to us the following vendor specific attribute:
vendor code: 21091
vendor attribute: 1
attribute format: string
attribute value: <local-user-name>
where <local-user-name> is the name of a user on the Exinda that determines what permissions that user gets ('monitor', 'admin' etc).
