SummaryIf using the Monitor > Hosts page to select a host to view URLs for, during the beginning minutes of an hour, the 'Current Hour' and 'Last 60 Minutes' data might show blank information
OverviewWhen viewing Monitor > Hosts, a time graph is shown that shows the top hosts in terms of utilization on the network over the time period. Beneath the graphs is a list of hosts, not just the Top ones. Each option in this list gives the "Show URLs" option, which takes the user to the URLs page for that specific host. When using the Current Hour or Last 60 Minutes view, and the time is close to the start of an hour (on the Exinda local time) the graphs for these URLs could be blank, stating "No data available for the time period."
CauseThe Monitor > URLs graph (a subset of which is found by navigating to the Monitor > Hosts and then selecting a host - that brings up the Monitor > URLs page for a specific host) gathers data relating to the 'old' graphs that were commonly found in v6 firmware. The new graphs run on different data processes. As a result, the times that the information taken are different. Information is rolled up every five minutes from 10 second samples, and is then further rolled up into time periods more suitable for larger time periods. In the URLs case, the primary rollup that allows for data to be seen during the hourly graphs (ie, "Current Hour" and "Last 60 minutes") happens on a delay. This delay can be upwards of 20-25 minutes past the start of the hour.
WorkaroundRefresh the page closer to the half hour mark of the hour, Exinda time.
Additional InformationIf after refreshing the page closer to the end of the hour, there is still no data showing up, please contact Exinda TAC for assistance, as that indicates there could be something wrong with the data collection.
