SummaryClearing the cache can be done in multiple ways, through the UI and command line.
OverviewThe Exinda Mobile Server takes the cache from all of the peered servers, so that it will have a unified picture of what is in cache and any mobile server can access a local cache if users request files. The space this cache typically takes up is defined by the formula of Number of Servers x (Cache Space Per Server). However, older caches can still remain on the server. There is no automated way to remove cache from the server, so it must be done manually.
Clearing the cache of a server can be done in the following ways:
- Through the web UI, pressing the "Reset All" button on the Cache Summary page
- Through the web UI, pressing the "Purge Caches Older than: X Days" button on the Cache Summary page
- Doing the command "reset-xdr" from the CLI.
Similarly, the 'reset all' will remove all current caches. Any caches that have been archived can also stay.
To remove all archives, the reset-xdr command will work. Note that this should be used as a last resort, as it will remove all cache information and all files in cache.
