This article provides information regarding fax devices and cards supported by GFI FaxMaker.

Information

 

• GFI FaxMaker supports a wide range of faxing devices and virtual Fax-over-IP technology.

  Please note that GFI Software only supports Professional Digital/ISDN Fax Boards.

• ISDN Modems are not supported.

The following table is a complete list of vendors providing professional digital fax boards that are supported by GFI FaxMaker:

 

Brand	Information
AVM	These cards support ISDN BRI. See the full list of the supported AVM cards.
Brooktrout	These cards support Analog, ISDN BRI, ISDN PRI - E1/T1, and Fax-over-IP. See the full list of the supported Brooktrout cards. GFI Software also resells Brooktrout cards by Dialogic.
Dialogic (Eicon)	These cards support Analog, ISDN BRI, ISDN PRI -E1/T1, and Fax-over-IP. See the full list of the supported Dialogic cards.
Mainpine	These cards support Analog. See the full list of the supported Mainpine cards.
PrimuX	These cards support ISDN BRI, ISDN PRI. See the full list of the supported PrimuX devices.
Modems	Only Analog modems are supported. A fax card is preferred to a regular modem. See the full list of the supported modems.
XCAPI	Software-only Fax-over-IP (FoIP) solution. See further information on how to configure GFI FaxMaker to use XCAPI.
LANCOM	Supported FAX Gateway Devices. See further information on how to configure GFI FaxMaker to use a LANCOM device.
Bintec	FAX Gateway Devices. See further information on how to configure GFI FaxMaker to use a Bintec device. See the full list of the supported Bintec devices.
BeroNet	Fax Gateway Device and ISDN (BRI) card. See the full list of the supported BeroNet devices.
HST	These devices support ISDN BRI, ISDN PRI. See the full list of the supported HST Saphir devices.
Vega	Supported only in combination with Dialogic SR140 software. See the full list of the supported Vega devices.

Additional Information

 

• GFI FaxMaker was only tested with each card separately.
• For the use of multiple cards/devices belonging to different vendors, please check with the manufacturer of the individual cards to ensure that there are no incompatibilities.
• Dialogic no longer supports any SDK prior to 6.7.0 (included with GFI FaxMaker 2014).
• GFI FaxMaker 19 and newer no longer supports Sangoma cards.
