Overview
Exinda acceleration works when the outbound TCP Syn is injected with a TCP option 30 and 230. This option acts as an indicator as to what is being accelerated and what is not.
Some servers like IBM/AIX servers do not accept any packets with added options in them. Such packets are rejected by the server. If these packets are rejected by the server and the connection is closed, TCP Acceleration will not establish. Users will face issues accessing these servers when acceleration is enabled for the flows.
This article provides a resolution for this issue.
Resolution
Follow the steps given below for resolving this issue:
- Enable IBM/AIX servers to allow TCP options 30 and 230. That has to be done by IBM. But it is not clear if they do this.
- Bypass this traffic from Acceleration.
- Create a network object for the AIX servers.
- Add a policy on all the involved Exindas. Make sure this policy does not have any acceleration on it.
