Overview

During the first time reboot after installing the image of 7.4.4 the device is stuck in BIOS. This article explains the phenomenon observed when upgrading the Exinda appliances 8063/1063/12063.

Root Cause

The above-listed devices have RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) configured on them. It takes some time to build the raid and that might cause the Exinda to stay in the BIOS mode.

Resolution

Please wait for the device in BIOS mode for about 15- 30 minutes. Once the raid has been built Exinda will boot into 7.4.4
