Overview

There are different ways to export emails from GFI Archiver, which are used in different situations. This article provides information regarding these different ways to export emails.

Information

• GFI Archiver OneClick Restore
  Restores emails using the OneClick Restore feature that restores an archived email to a specific mailbox or forwards a copy to an email address.
  
  
• GFI Archiver Import Export Tool
  With this tool, you can connect to your installation of GFI Archiver, search for emails to export, and export all of the emails using one of the following:
  • Restore to a specific email address.
  • Download to a folder on disk in EML or MSG format.
  • Download to a PST file.
  The export feature in the GFI Archiver Import Export Tool is useful to export a set of emails that match specific search criteria, for example, to provide emails to satisfy a litigation support request.
  
  
• GFI Archiver Mailbox Restore
  GFI Archiver provides you with the facility to restore emails archived within GFI Archiver Archive Stores to a Mailbox in Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office 365 or a PST file. Using the GFI Archiver Mailbox Restore feature enables you to restore, for example, emails for deleted mailboxes.

NOTE: The export process exports a copy of the emails and does not remove the original emails from the Archive Stores.
