Overview

The scanning profiles that ship with GFI LanGuard are already pre-configured to run several vulnerability checks on the selected target.

This article guides you on how to create a new custom scanning profile through the Scanning Profiles Editor.

Process

1. Launch GFI LanGuard.
2. Go to Configuration > Scanning Profile Editor.
   • Alternatively, you can also press CTRL + P to launch the Scanning Profiles Editor.
3. Under Common Tasks, click on New scanning profile.
   
   
4. Specify the name of the new profile and optionally select Copy all settings from an existing profile to clone the settings from an existing profile.
5. Click on OK to save the settings.

Confirmation

The new scanning profile is added under Profiles in the left pane.
