Random patches are not installed on Windows Machines

PROBLEM

When installing patches using GFI LanGuard, some patches are not being deployed; however GFI LanGuard reports no issues during the deployment.

ENVIRONMENT

  • GFI LanGuard 2011 and higher
  • All supported environments

SOLUTION

Ensure that the target machine is using a genuineMicrosoft Windows operating system.

CAUSE

This issue is known to occur when the patches are being deployed to a Microsoft Windows operating system which is not validated as Genuine Windows. Ensure that your operating system is validated using the Windows Genuine Test.
