Overview

This article guides you on how to scan for missing Microsoft patches only using GFI LanGuard.

Process

1. Open Configuration.
2. Right-click on Scanning Profiles and go to Scanning Profiles Management.
3. Select Complete/Combination Scans.
4. Select New Scanning Profile and name your profile.
   
   
    
5. Deselect Enable vulnerability scanning.
    
   
    
6. Go to Patches > Advanced.
    
    
    
7. Use the dropdown to change Include non-Microsoft patches to No and click OK.
   
   
    

Confirmation

The new profile should now be available for scanning machines on the network.
