Enabling NetBIOS over TCP/IP on Windows

Overview

This article guides you on how to enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP on a targeted machine.

Process

  1. Right-click on the network card and go to Properties.
  2. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties.
  3. From the General tab, click the Advanced button.
  4. Go to the WINS tab.
  5. Select the option Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP.
