Overview

GFI LanGuard email notifications are not working when using TLS (Transport Layer Security) with Microsoft Office 365.

Environment

• GFI Languard
• Microsoft Office 365 (use for notifications - recommended port 587)
  
  

Root Cause

Port 587 is incompatible due to the way that GFI LanGuard initiates connections over TLS.

Resolution

Use port 25 with TLS when using Microsoft Office 365 for GFI LanGuard notifications.
