PROBLEM
After opening the console a error message box is displayed similar to the below:ENVIRONMENT
- GFI LanGuard
- All supported environments
SOLUTION
- Stop the GFI LanGuard Attendant Service
- Close any GFI LanGuard application windows
- Open your task manager and end any update.exe processes running
- Depending on the GFI LanGuard version and Operating System, open the following folder:
- GFI LanGuard 2012 or higher : ...\ProgramData\GFI\LanGuard 11
- GFI Languard 12: ...\ProgramData\GFI\LanGuard12\
- Make a backup copy of the file lnss.dta
- Download lnss.dta from http://ftp.gfisoftware.com/support/LNSS/Scripts/lnss.zip and place it in the folder
- Check the "Properties" of the file and choose the "Unblock" button if present.
- Restart the GFI LanGuard service
Notes:
- After performing this solution you will need to re-set the passwords for any entries (such as alternate credentials) in the LanGuard interface
- The folders above are hidden by default. Please refer to the following articles to make them visible in Windows Explorer for:
