Disabling Audit Checks

Overview

This article provides a step-by-step process on disabling audit checks.

Process

Introduced in GFI EventsManager 2010 was a series of audit checks performed by GFI EventsManager. These event IDs usually range from Event ID 1 through Event ID 10 and have an Event Source: GFI EventsManager.

To disable these audit checks, if not desired:

  1. Open the GFI EventsManager interface and choose Configuration > Event Sources.
  2. Select the properties of an event source group (if using inheritance), then select the Audit tab.
  3. Deselect the 'Enable GFI EventsManager auditing' checkbox.

Proceed through the above steps for each group or individual event source (if not using inheritance), where you intend to not have these audit checks performed.
