Overview

The GFI EventsManager Report Pack cannot connect to the database.

The errors: Failed to log in to the SQL Server or The database does not exist! may be seen.

Environment

• EventsManager 2011
• EventsManager 2010
• EventsManager 8
• All supported environments

Root Cause

The GFI EventsManager Report Pack does not have the correct configuration to connect to SQL.

Resolution

1. Open the GFI EventsManager Console and navigate to the Configuration tab.
2. Choose Options > Database and Files Backend > Change database backend.
3. Ensure that the Database Source for the GFI EventsManager Report Pack is configured the same as the Database Backend GFI EventsManager.
