This article provides the best practices for inbound SMS routing.

Information

The following are things to consider when setting up inbound SMS routing:

• It is recommended that you enable the checkbox Enable automatic routing of incoming SMS messages in the GFI FaxMaker Configuration > SMS > Properties > SMS options.
  
  
• It is also recommended to set up one default router to receive inbound SMS which has not been routed successfully. All inbound SMS messages, whether routed or not, can be sent to one or more users configured in the Receive all SMS messages tab.
  
  
• When an incoming SMS is received, GFI FaxMaker will route it to the user who sent an SMS message to this outbound SMS number recently. Un-routed messages will be sent to the default router.
