Sales Rep Referrals

Overview

This article contains the steps for setting up Sales Rep Referrals.

Process

To set up Sales Rep Referrals, follow the steps given below:

  1. Obtain the contact information from the details.
  2. Double-click the space to the right of the "Contact Name" field under the "Contact & Account Information Validated in SFDC".
  3. Enter the new contact information.
  4. Click the contact name search icon to the right.
  5. If the contact is not in the system, click New.
  6. Add the contacts email address.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click on the contact. It should now be underlined as it is saved in the system.
  9. Add the phone number to the account under the field named Phone.
  10. Add the associated account under the Account Name.
  11. Click Save.

To find the appropriate rep, follow the steps given below:

  1. Click on the Account to bring up the information about the associated account.
  2. The account owner will typically be the rep you need to contact.
  3. Close the Account Information screen.
  4. In the Email section, click Send Email.
  5. Fill in the appropriate fields
  6. Add the Account Rep.
  7. In the body, email the customer, introduce the rep and let them know that you are referring them to the rep.
  8. Click Send.
