How to generate a sysdump diagnostic file from command line

Overview

When an Exinda appliance's web UI becomes inaccessible, generating a system diagnostic file will be necessary for troubleshooting. Since these files are usually generated and downloaded from the web UI, here is the process to generate the file from command line, and download it using an FTP client.

Login to CLI as an administrator, enter the following commands:

• en
• conf t
• debug generate dump

Connect to your Exinda using an FTP client on port 22 using admin credentials, and find the sysdump you just created in the following directory: /var/opt/tms/sysdumps/
