/var causing system disk full alerts due to /var/opt/tms/stats growing large
Overview
There are many reasons for the /var partition to become full, this article is specifically due to /var/opt/tms/stats directly containing files which are using up a large percentage of the maximum size /var
Please open a support case if receiving alerts for full /var partition so we can help diagnose the issue.
Cause
The cause is currently unknown.
Workaround
The files from /var/opt/tms/stats can be deleted by the Exinda TAC support team, which will help clear up this issue - though it can come back after the stat files grow large again in size. Please note that this will cause a number of graphs on the web UI to become empty.
Resolution
There is currently no resolution, but it will be investigated by the engineering team.
