Changing the notification emails language

Overview

When there is a need to change an automatic notification's language to a non-standard, i.e. German, the language settings should be modified manually via Kerio Connect internal configuration file. The automatic emails sent by the Kerio Connect postmaster are considered as system reports.

The default report language is English.

Prerequisites

Administrator (root) access to Kerio Connect server

Process

  1. Stop the Kerio Connect service.
  2. Navigate to the Kerio Connect installation folder and modify mailserver.cfg.
  3. Locate the ReportLanguage variable in the Misc table. Change the variable to the necessary value, i.e. de instead of default en.

    Note: use default language codes and names defined in the representation codes table (ISO 639-1).
  4. Start the Kerio Connect service.

Confirmation

The default report language was changed successfully and visible in Webmail email reports.
