Overview

This article provides steps to disable specific modules in GFI MailEssentials (only).

Process

The modules in GFI MailEssentials can be disabled by following the instructions provided below:

1.  Navigate to General Settings > Settings.
2. Disable specific modules (Antispam, Content Filtering, and EmailSecurity) if they are unlicensed or not in use.
   
   
   
   Note: This is NOT the same as disabling the GFI Transport Agents from the Exchange Management Shell or unregistering the IIS/SMTP Event Sinks. Disabling the options in the UI simply skips those modules while processing mail. Disabling some of the Transport Agents in Exchange or Unregistering Individual Sinks will create issues with mail-flow as mail needs to pass through each Agent/Sink in order to be processed successfully.
