Overview

When HTML disclaimers are enabled, calendar appointments do not retain their functions to accept or deny.

Environment

• GFI MailEssentials
• All supported environments

Root Cause

By default, GFI MailEssentials adds the disclaimer to every email because of its legal requirement.

Resolution

1. Browse to ..\GFI\MailEssentials\AntiSpam\Data\.
2. Open the product.config file in a text editor.
3. Set the DisableOLMeetingDisclaimer key to 1:
   <add key = "DisableOLMeetingDisclaimer" value = "1"/>
   Note: You might need to manually create the key in older versions of MailEssentials.
4. Restart the GFI MailEssentials services and the Microsoft Exchange Transport Service.
