Cannot Reduce User Count as the User Manager is Disabled

Overview

The user is unable to reduce the User/License Count after exceeding the grace period. The administrator is running in SMTP mode and the User Manager page is disabled (greyed out).

 

Environment

GFI MailEssentials 2012 build 20120618.

 

Resolution

  • Edit the userlist.mdb in Microsoft Access manually to reduce the User Count to the license limit.

Note: Upgrade to GFI MailEssentials 2015 or later to avoid this issue in the future.
