Answer

Two types of authentication are supported in GFI Mailessentials. Users are required to enter credentials when accessing the configuration console while running in IIS Mode when Forms authentication is selected. To prevent this, you can switch to Windows authentication mode:

1. Open up the MailEssentials Switchboard.
2. Verify that IIS Mode is selected.
3. Click the Security button.
4. Click the Authentication tab.
5. Select the Windows Mode radial button.
6. Click OK.
