How to turn off notification emails in GFI MailEssentials

Answer

1. Open GFI MailEssentials Configuration > Email Security
2. Select the filter sending the notification (Note: For example, select Virus Scanning Engine first if it is one of those sending the notification)
3. Select Actions and uncheck the Notification box

To turn off notifications when an email is blocked due to a Content Filtering policy, please perform the following:

1. Open the GFI MailEssentials Configuration > Content Filtering
2. Under each Filter (Keyword, Attachment, Decompression, Advanced), go to the desired rules > Actions tab
3. Per your requirements, uncheck Notify local user and/or Notify administrator
4. Apply the changes

 

1. Open GFI MailEssentials Configuration > Quarantine
2. Select Quarantine Options > Malware Options and uncheck the Notification box

GFI MailEssentials 2014 & 2015

1. Open GFI MailEssentials Configuration > Quarantine
2. Select Quarantine Options > Malware Options and uncheck the Send quarantine approval forms by email
   box
3. Click Apply
