Files get corrupted when download with GFI Webmonitor 2015 Check the license key of the client with KeysAdmin: If the key shows: WebFiltering Edition: Yes and WebSecurity Edition: No Like in the example below it may be the cause Product: GFI WebMonitor 2015 (Standalone Proxy) Number of users: XX Purchase date: XXXX-09-11 Expiry date: XXXX-09-11 Software Maintenance Agreement: Yes BitDefender anti-virus engine: No Kaspersky anti-virus engine: No VIPRE anti-virus engine: No Report Center: No WebFiltering Edition: Yes WebSecurity Edition: No Not For Resale version: No If client has both edition set to yes, proceed troubleshooting as usual gathering logs and a wireshark from the client.
Workaround / Fix Details
1. Disable All policies that have AV scanning enabled or 2. Contact customer and ask to issue a new license for the client that is for Unified Protection, but has the AV flags disabled
