This article describes how anti-spam keywords are handled in GFI MailEssentials.

Information

• GFI MailEssentials does not update the keyword list.
• A basic keyword list, which allows you to filter spam until the Bayesian filter has been trained from your email pattern, is included in the initial installation.
• Bayesian filtering technology is much more effective than keyword checking, as it detects spam based on message content.
• Rather than just checking for keywords, the Bayesian filter takes the whole message into consideration, as well as the content of legitimate emails that you send.
